Tweedledee. Talisa Baker edged out
the competition in the adult category
with her Cat in the Hat outfit. Each
winner received a $25 gift card.
On Oct. 30, Early Learning
students walked around in their
costumes to trick-or-treat at
numerous tribal government
departments. The final destination
was the Tribal Center where staff
members from Planning, CTLF,
Human Resources and many other
departments handed out candy.
As they filled up their buckets
with goodies, the youth visited the
office of Chehalis Tribe Chairman
Harry Pickernell Sr. He handed out
full-size candy bars to each student in
the Early Learning program. There
wasn’t a contest or celebration for
employees, but that didn’t stop them
from showing their Halloween spirit.
Many staff members dressed
up to hand out candy to the Early
Learning kids. This was highlighted
by Wellness Center Director Denise
Walker, who dressed up as Cruella
de Vil from “101 Dalmatians” and
General Manager Misty Secena as
Freddy Krueger.
