players push

hard for wins

Chehalis tribal members have helped lead
both Oakville High School boys and girls
basketball teams this season. Both teams are
making a push for the 1B Coastal District
tournament in February.
The boys’ team is trying to make another
state tournament run and is led by tribal
members Courtney Price and Eddie Klatush,
both in their final senior season. In his junior
year, tribal member Koner Burnett is playing a
major role for the Acorns.
Multiple Chehalis tribal members are on
the Oakville girls basketball team this year:
Laela Baker (senior), Ui Siufanua (freshman),
Ava Boyd (freshman) and Carolann Black
(junior). The team started its season strong.
The last regular season game is at Oakville
against Taholah on Feb. 2. Boys start at 5:45 p.m.
and the girls game kicks off at 7 p.m.
