HEAD START MILESTONE

Loved ones came to watch
their adorable youngsters
participate in the Head Start
Program’s Graduation Dinner on
June 14 at the Chehalis Tribe’s
Community Center.
As the 21 Head Start students
and their families came into
the gym, there were tables
designated for youth. It was
great to see the support our
families and students received
in anticipation of this first
educational milestone for the
young ones.
Teacher Christopher Cabrera
called the students up on stage
for a rehearsal prior to all of the
families arriving, then asked
students to meet their parents
and caregivers out in the middle
section of the Community Center
to get dressed in shiny caps and
gowns.
The students lined up in
their graduation attire and were
ushered into the gymnasium. A
stage with chairs was set up for
them to sit while Teacher Chris
spoke.
It was a beautiful event that
showered Chehalis youth with
support and strength.
