Oakville High School held
its high school graduation
ceremony on Saturday, June 15.
Multiple Chehalis tribal and
community members received
their high school diplomas
with family and loved ones in
attendance.
Chehalis tribal member and
senior class president Courtney
Price gave the class speech.
He spoke about his experience
during high school, playing
sports and dealing with the
complications of attending school
during the COVID-19 pandemic.
He acknowledged the class of
2024 for its many academic
achievements throughout the
four years of high school.
Chehalis tribal member Laela
Baker presented the senior
parent recognition speech. It
was followed by a rose ceremony,
which is a tradition for Oakville
graduates to give roses to those
who supported them during
their years of schooling.
After Superintendent Rich
Staley presented graduates with
their diplomas, they made it
official by turning their tassels,
led by Courtney Price.
Oakville high school seniors are
supported by proud loved ones
